Wheelchair Users
To ensure smooth access
When wheelchair users and passengers with mobility issues use the train, station attendant will assist by setting up ramps to ensure their safety. We ask for your understanding and cooperation in the following matters when using the service.
To ensure a smooth use of the facilities, we will make arrangements with station attendant (including when station attendant are not available or when you request to use an unmanned station), so please contact us in advance.
Please be advised that even if you contact us in advance, we may not be able to fulfill your request due to attendant unavailability.
Please have a carer accompany you if you cannot use the restroom by yourself at stations and on trains. Carers may be asked to assist when using the train or guide in emergencies.

- Electric mobility scooters can only be used on trains approved by us. (Some trains operated by us, including Limited Express trains, may not be able to accommodate them due to structural reasons.) Please get in touch with the station where you are boarding to obtain the Timetable for accessible trains.
- Some electric mobility scooters may not be used due to their shape, for example, if its overall length exceeds the size of the elevator.
- Electric mobility scooters may not be used during busy times, early morning, or late night, or when the service is disrupted. Depending on circumstances, you may be refused boarding even after entering the ticket gate.
- On the day you wish to use the service, please arrive at the station with plenty of time to spare and operate the electric mobility scooter with due caution inside the station.
